The regime of labor, working time and rest of citizens is regulated at the all-Russian level. However, constituent entities of the Russian Federation may establish additional non-working days associated with local holidays and memorable dates. This right is enshrined in Art. 6 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, as well as in a number of resolutions and letters (Presidium of the Supreme Court No. 20-ПВ11 dated December 21, 2011, letter of the Ministry of Labor No. 1139-21 dated July 10, 2003). All changes are reflected in the regional production (work) calendar.
Holidays can be associated with the history, culture, religion, traditions of the region: this can be seen in many constituent entities of the Russian Federation. Let's consider the production calendar for 2022 in Tatarstan with holidays and weekends, how non-working days differ for 5 and 6 day weeks.

Approval of the production calendar for 2019
The production calendar for 2022 records information on the number of working days, weekends and holidays, and the standard working hours in 2022. It includes both general quarterly information on the number of working days and weekends, as well as information for each month.
The 2022 production calendar with holidays and weekends is approved by a decree of the Government of the Russian Federation. To date, a draft resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation has been published, which records data on the transfer of weekends.
Thus, the following holidays are postponed to 2022:
- from Saturday 5 January to Thursday 2 May;
- from Sunday 6 January to Friday 3 May;
- from Saturday 23 February to Friday 10 May.
Why is PC popular?
A timely updated PC has long become an indispensable attribute of the activities of every self-respecting manager or accounting employee. Using a PC, reports are prepared for the tax authorities, vacation schedules are set and wages are calculated.
In addition to programmers, lawyers and accountants are involved in the creation of PCs. For these reasons, PCs are in constant demand and are a structural component of all existing accounting systems.
PCs that are not integrated into accounting programs are also in deserved demand, as they allow optimizing the activities of enterprises by properly organizing the work and rest of employees.
Since qualified lawyers specializing in labor law take part in the creation of the PC, the PC algorithms are in strict accordance with the norms of labor law in general and the Labor Code in particular.
Holidays and long weekends: production calendar for 2022
Let us remind you which days are considered non-working holidays in Russia, according to Art. 112 Labor Code of the Russian Federation:
- January 1-8 – New Year's holidays and Christmas;
- February 23 – Defender of the Fatherland Day;
- March 8 – International Women's Day;
- May 1 – Spring and Labor Day;
- May 9 – Victory Day;
- June 12 – Russia Day;
- November 4 is National Unity Day.
The coincidence of the listed holiday dates with a day off entails their “shift” to the nearest working date. In addition, a government decree is issued annually to move a number of weekends (usually coinciding with the Christmas and New Year “vacations”) to other days of the year.
In the draft resolution “On postponing weekends,” developed by the Ministry of Labor to 2022, this approach is applied not only to some “New Year’s” weekends, but also to February 23, which falls on a Saturday. For a more rational use of rest time, the following transfer of days off is proposed:
- from January 5 (Saturday) to May 2 (Thursday),
- from January 6 (Sunday) to May 3 (Friday),
- from February 23 (Saturday) to May 10 (Friday).
At the same time, for Russians, the 2022 calendar with holidays will contain the following “long” weekends:
- 10-day New Year holidays (from December 30, 2022 to January 8, 2019),
- 3 days in March (from 8 to 10 March),
- in May, as many as 5 days of rest fall on May Day (from May 1 to 5) and 4 days on Victory Day (from May 9 to 12),
- On the November holiday you will have a 3-day vacation (from November 2 to November 4).
It is necessary to take into account that in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation the number of holidays may differ - regions have the right to declare non-working days of local or religious holidays. Accordingly, regional working time standards will also be different from all-Russian ones.
PC for Tatarstan 2022. All features taken into account
As already mentioned, the PC is always in full compliance with the requirements of the law.
Due to the fact that there are some differences in regional regulations with similar national regulations, there is a need to create specialized PCs. As you know, a calendar is a collection of dates arranged in the appropriate order. And the calendar date, in turn, is not only a serial number, but also the status of the day.
There are 4 statuses of calendar dates:
- working day;
- day off;
- holiday;
- pre-holiday day.
Since the regions of the Russian Federation have a constitutional right to establish their own holidays, the PC for Tatarstan contains significant differences from the national PC.
Production calendar for 2022 with a six-day work week
Yesterday we presented the production calendar for 2022 with a five-day working week. Now we are publishing a similar calendar based on six working days a week
|
General and special
Citizens of the Russian Federation living on the territory of Tatarstan, in addition to all-Russian holidays, also celebrate their own holidays:
- Eid al-Fitr, celebrated on June 4;
- Eid al-Adha, celebrated on August 11;
- Day of the Republic of Tatarstan, celebrated on August 30;
- Constitution Day of Tatarstan, celebrated on November 6.
In order to differentiate the categories of holidays, special color and letter designations for holidays and other days have been introduced into the PC for Tatarstan.
Thus, dates corresponding to all-Russian holidays and weekends are highlighted in red, Tatarstan holidays are highlighted in green, and dates marked with an asterisk refer to pre-holiday days, on which the working day is legally required to be shortened by 1 hour.
Residents of Tatarstan will celebrate all-Russian holidays together with the whole country:
- eight-day New Year holidays;
- February 23 with a two-day rest and March 8 – with a three-day rest;
- May holidays, which will bring a total of 5 additional days of rest;
- Russia Day in June;
- Unity Day in November with a cumulative three-day holiday.
Holidays in 2022 in Tatarstan
A special feature of the region is that in addition to state holidays, it has its own non-working holidays. Therefore, local residents need to focus on both the approved calendar with transfers at the federal level (Resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation “On the transfer of weekends in 2019” No. 1163 dated October 1, 2018), and on the local act: Law of the Republic of Tajikistan No. 1448-XII “On holidays and memorable dates of the Republic of Tatarstan” dated 02/19/1992. The last time changes were made to it was on September 29. 2016, but more on that a little later.
So, residents of the Republic of Tatarstan, like all Russians, will have a rest:
- for the New Year holidays and Christmas, a total of 10 days: from January 1 to January 8, as well as December 30 and 31, 2022. The holidays could have been 2 days longer, but from Saturday (01/05) the day off was moved to May 2, and from Sunday (06.01) - to May 3, to extend the May holidays;
- Defender of the Fatherland Day, February 23, falls on a Saturday in 2022, but there will only be two days off, because the Government has moved the additional one to May 10;
- March 8 will be celebrated for three days, taking into account the holiday itself and the following Saturday and Sunday;
- the celebration of Spring and Labor will stretch over the period May 1-5;
- Victory Day will also give a long weekend - May 9-12;
- Russia Day falls on Wednesday, so the work week will be shortened by 1 day, 12.06;
- holiday of national unity, celebrated on 04.11. on Monday, will “capture” the 2 legal weekends preceding it.
But only with federal holidays, the production calendar in the Republic of Tatarstan for 2022 would be incomplete. Because in the region it is customary to celebrate a number of holiday events, the days of which are non-working days:
- Republic Day - 30.08.;
- Constitution Day of the Republic of Tatarstan - 06.11.;
- Eid al-Fitr is a Muslim holiday, the start date of which is determined according to the lunar calendar.
- Kurban Bayram is also a “transitionable” religious celebration of those professing Islam.
Weekends associated with the last two festivals are established annually by decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan. It is already known that they will be 04.06 (Eid al-Adha) and 11.08. (Eid al-Fitr), although there is no signed text of the order yet.
As you can see, the production calendar for 2022 in Tatarstan with holidays increases the weekend for the population by 4 days. But this doesn't always happen.
It is important! On September 29, 2016, the so-called “law on the abolition of transfers” was adopted in the Republic of Tatarstan. We are talking about document No. 67-ZRT, which made adjustments to Part 5 of Art. 1 of the above-mentioned Law 1448-XII. The authorities decided that residents already had enough holidays, so they stopped postponing rest days if the holiday falls on a weekend.
In 2022, such a situation arises with Eid al-Adha, celebrated on August 11, which falls on Saturday. According to the rules in Tatarstan, another additional day for rest is not provided. This rule applies only to local holidays and does not affect national holidays.

All-Russian holidays
The year usually begins with the New Year holidays. In 2019, they will continue from January 1 to January 8, along with weekends. But Wednesday the 9th is already a working day. As throughout Russia, during this period Tatarstan residents decorate Christmas trees, prepare festive dishes, and have fun at local concerts.
On February 23, all women congratulate men, because for many years in a row this date has been dedicated to Defender of the Fatherland Day. Festive concerts are always broadcast on TV, and ceremonial events are held throughout the cities with awards for the most loyal military personnel to their country.
March 8th is a holiday of spring and women. All markets in Tatarstan are filled with a variety of flowers. Each family chooses how to spend such a day in its own way. Often these are family trips to cinemas, entertainment centers or restaurants.
Labor and Spring Day are usually celebrated on May 1st and 2nd. As the news for the new year 2022 makes clear, these dates fall on Wednesday and Thursday. Therefore, in order not to interrupt their vacation, accountants and personnel officers are asked to postpone the working day of Friday, May 3, to one of the following Saturdays.
In a week, Tatarstan residents will celebrate Victory Day. In the new year, May 9th falls on Thursday, so May 8th will be a shortened working day (as required by labor articles and laws), and it is recommended to move Friday again to work on another non-working day.
In 2022, Wednesday falls on Russian Independence Day. The holiday is celebrated annually on June 12. Concerts, fireworks, congratulations, general marches and parades are common activities on this day.
Tatarstan residents can demonstrate their kinship with other nations on Monday, November 4th, because this is the day of national unity; there are no plans to postpone the weekend this month.

Working calendar in Tatarstan
Let us remember that the working day preceding a non-working holiday is shortened by 1 hour. If there is a standard day off between them, then the working day is not shortened.
The following table shows what the working calendar for 2022 will look like with holidays and weekends in Tatarstan.
The indicated weekends, like the entire calendar, are relevant for a five-day working week.
Summary for 2022:
- working days - 243;
- pre-holiday days shortened by an hour - 9;
- weekends - 122, of which 18 are non-working holidays.
It will also be useful to familiarize yourself with the working hours standards for weeks that differ in the number of hours. This timesheet calendar is clearly demonstrated in the figure:
What holidays are planned for 2022
The production calendar for 2022 in Tatarstan with holidays provides a large number of days for proper rest, based on the laws of the Russian Federation.
For next year, the calendar, approved on the basis of Russian legislation, has not changed, it includes:
- holidays dedicated to New Year's Eve - from the first to the eighth of January, and this also includes Christmas evening;
- Day of People Who Defend the Motherland - February twenty-third;
- World Women's Day - March 8th;
- Spring and Labor Day - May 1st;
- Great Victory over fascism - May 9;
- Our Federation Day is the twelfth of June;
- The holiday of the unity of the Russian people is the fourth of November.
With the light hand of the head, religious festivals such as:
- 06 – Uraza Bayram is the most famous and revered day among the entire Muslim population, the date of which was usually calculated according to the lunar calendar;
- 08 – Kurban Bayram – the date during which you should visit holy places for Muslims, and it changes annually and stretches for three days;
- 08 – Tatarstan Day (since 1990);
- 11 – Day of the Basic Law of the Republic.
On these religious holidays, the residents of this region carefully observe all the traditions that have developed over the years, since Muslims treat this with great trepidation:
- put on new white clothes;
- conduct master classes on national crafts;
- offer to purchase themed souvenirs at fairs;
- perform ablution of the whole body;
- perform namaz and pray;
- go to the mosque to listen to the sermons of the mullah;
- the whole family gathers around a rich festive table;
- helping those who need help.
The leadership of the Republic of Tatarstan is not going to remove religious festivals from the production calendar of the coming year, so as not to infringe on the rights of their compatriots.
