Registration is a collection of numbers. But this is not just a collection of random numbers, but a number series, where each phase means something important. The standard number in the Pension Fund looks something like this - 087103119569.

This set of numbers allows you to quickly identify the payer in the Pension Fund of Russia

Its decoding:

• The first three digits are the registration region code, and in this example means that the company was registered in the city of Moscow (code 087).
• The second block (the next three digits) indicates the registration area code.
• The third block (last three digits) is the individual number of the organization in the Pension Fund.

The details are awarded for quick identification of the payer in the Pension Fund of Russia system. Initially, it is the main one when transferring funds to the Pension Fund. All policyholders registered on the territory of the Russian Federation are required to have it.

How can I find out using the registration number on the pension fund website?

There is a way to find out the registration number on the pension fund website on the “Payer's Account” page. You can get here via the link: https://www.pfrf.ru/eservices/lkp. At the bottom of the page you need to enter the first 3 digits of the desired RN - we will look for them.

Instructions:

1. First, you need to contact another resource “ Kontur.Extern” (there are several similar resources in RuNet) using the link, but you must indicate your own last 2 digits in the address (the license plate code of your region). 2. If you don’t know these numbers , that’s okay, you can find them on the website. You get to “Contour. Extern" in any way, even through a search engine, where you enter the name in Russian. On the website, please note that there are options on the left side - select “Pension funds”.
3. You will see a list of districts with the first 3 digits of the registration number in the Pension Fund (regional definition) and the next 3. Perhaps these will be Moscow (or Tula according to the link - it doesn’t matter) numbers, you need the first 3 digits of your region.
4. To finally get to what you are looking for , you need to click on the small black triangle (located at the end of the search line), which displays a menu with regions and license plate codes - select yours (do not confuse it with the PH numbers - these are different things).
5. By clicking on it , you will open a list of districts in your region with the first 6 digits (you only need 3). It may be more convenient for someone to immediately write the desired object (area).
6. This can be done manually - the word “region” is followed by an input line (it blends into the background and is invisible). Many people, once on the site, cannot find either it or the triangle.
7. No matter how you get to the coveted three-digit code , you will receive it. Now return to the PFR website “Payer's Account” and enter them in the checkboxes (small window). You are taken to a page where on the right there is an option “Forgot your registration number in the Pension Fund of Russia?”
8. Click on it and you will be asked to enter your TIN, then the desired number becomes available to you. Services work for free!

How is a registration number assigned?

In Russia, a certain algorithm for assigning registration numbers is provided. First, a company or individual entrepreneur is registered with the territorial tax authorities. After registration is completed, the tax office transfers data about the new entity to the Pension Fund. Here they are required to process documents within 5 working days and assign an individual registration number to the subject.

Next, the Pension Fund sends this data back to the territorial tax authorities. Within another 5 working days, the tax office prepares the documentation, verifies the data, and registers the payer with mandatory registration. Such a system is provided for when registering all business entities and individuals.

After assigning a number and registering documents with the tax service, you can make contributions to the Pension Fund

From this moment on, the company, entrepreneur or private practitioner becomes a full-fledged payer of contributions to the pension fund. Payment of fees is made directly to the registration number. Without this information, the payment cannot be identified. Therefore, it is highly not recommended to forget it. The individual number of the taxpayer organization is assigned randomly. This set of numbers means nothing.

Decoding the registration number of the policyholder in the Social Insurance Fund

The number consists of 15 digits. The first 5 digits determine the policyholder’s subordination code, and the next 10 indicate his registration number in the Social Insurance Fund.

The procedure for registering individual entrepreneurs with the Pension Fund of Russia

Each individual entrepreneur is required to register with the Pension Fund and make deductions of insurance contributions, from which pensions are subsequently paid.

Registration of entrepreneurs who do not have employees

Registration with the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation for newly created individual entrepreneurs is carried out on the basis of information sent there by the tax office, which issues registration documents to the beginning businessman. After receiving information from the Federal Tax Service, the Pension Fund registers the individual entrepreneur as the policyholder and gives him an individual registration number.

Then the Pension Fund sends all information about registration back to the regional tax office. Having received this data, the Federal Tax Service registers the registration number in the Unified State Register of Individual Entrepreneurs (USRIP). This entire procedure must be carried out within a five-day period, calculated from the date of registration of the individual entrepreneur for tax registration with the Federal Tax Service.

Simultaneously with registering and sending information to the Federal Tax Service, the Pension Fund is also obliged to send a notice of assignment of a registration number to the individual entrepreneur himself. Such notification is carried out by sending a registered letter, which indicates the registration number and deadlines for payment of insurance premiums.

Thus, registration of newly created individual entrepreneurs with the Pension Fund is carried out completely without their participation.

Registration with the Pension Fund of Entrepreneurs with employees

Since last year, the right to administer insurance premiums has been transferred to the tax authorities. Now, section XI “Insurance contributions in the Russian Federation” has appeared in the Tax Code of the Russian Federation, and a new chapter “Insurance contributions” has been introduced under number 34. According to its provisions, as well as the norms of Art. 11 of the Federal Law of December 15, 2001 No. 167-FZ “On compulsory pension insurance in the Russian Federation” for individual entrepreneurs with hired employees and for some other categories of self-employed persons (for example, lawyers and notaries), self-registration with the tax authorities upon application as an employer is not provided.

This means that an entrepreneur who has employees does not need to independently submit an application to the Pension Fund and register with it. This is also emphasized in the Letter of the Federal Tax Service of Russia dated January 31, 2017 N BS-4–11/

A registered individual entrepreneur does not have to submit any documents to the Pension Fund: registration is carried out without his participation

For reference: registration with the bodies of the Social Insurance Fund still occurs by application (see paragraph 7 of Order of the Ministry of Labor of Russia dated April 29, 2016 No. 202n. In this case, the application must be submitted no later than 30 calendar days from the date of conclusion of the employment contract with first of the employees hired. If the thirty-day deadline for submitting information about hiring employees is violated, the entrepreneur faces a fine of 5 thousand rubles. And if this period is exceeded by more than 90 days, this fine will increase to 10 thousand.

At the same time, the Pension Fund still records an individual registration number for individual entrepreneurs, and also carries out personalized accounting of compulsory pension insurance, but receives information that the individual entrepreneur has moved to the category of employer from the relevant tax authority.
